It is important that you know that it WILL count towards your assessment marks next term (10% for the term).
So, make sure you work smart and hard- you will be having 3 weeks after all! :)
Enjoy your holidays,
Ms Sime

And don't forget to log into Maths Online!! I have assigned some tasks for you to complete over the holidays. Good Luck and have a happy holiday!! :)
Grade 5/6a are 'Super Shoppers'!
Today, the girls worked extremely hard to solve decimal/money problems, based on selected online shopping catalogues. In groups of three, they were asked to use their iPads to scan QR codes like the one on the left, which directed them to an online catalogue for a selected store (e.g. Target, Big W). There were 5 shopping stations set up in different areas of the classroom and they worked together to find solutions to their given problem.
Students were required to browse through the catalogues and 'buy' items to reach an answer. All their working and responses were recorded in the Maths workbooks.
Students really had a blast- I have never seen them so excited in Maths! There was also a competitive streak I had never seen before, as they were all striving to solve the problems FIRST!
Below are some pictures taken during this activity!
